Kabuk is a fast-growing fintech company in the travel space, operating a subscription type service we refer to as “HafH” – Home away from Home.
Kabuk is developing algorithms to manage price fluctuation risks and offering the feeling of flat
rates to make reservations of hotels as well as airlines. Kabuk was started in Japan and is currently expanding globally, operating in 30 countries.
Strategic goals for 2024
The strategy is to expand geographically and to solve the complexity of systems for hotels. We are developing a new sort of property management system for hotels that is designed to drive more direct
bookings.
Lessons learned since founding
Bold and quick decision making is what gives startups an edge. Given fewer resources, we are always struggling to develop our software, sales, and customer support, etc.
Hiring
cannot keep up with the growth of the business, and advertising expenses are not always sufficient. Taking risks and quick decisions is the only way to be successful.
