Justt was developed with the intent of dealing with chargebacks for merchants. The company aims to use technology to turn a process that can be complex and frustrating into one that is easier for merchants to deal with.

Roenen Ben-Ami, co-founder and chief risk officer at Justt, explained during his pitch during the Launch competition at The Phocuswright Conference 2023 that his company provides a “hands-free” solution for merchants who need to fight friendly fraud.

He dove into how Justt works: “We pull all the chargeback data into our own systems and are able to build the solution for them and update that solution as industry changes happen each year. Then we are able to tailor that solution per merchant for their specific types of chargebacks.”

Justt uses dynamic arguments to fight the chargebacks specific to each situation – it doesn’t work based on templates. And the arguments can be submitted automatically using Justt’s technology.

“So if volumes fluctuate, the top quality evidence still gets through for all of their cases. And finally, we use machine learning to optimize the results,” Ben-Ami said. “The more chargebacks that run through our system, the smarter our system becomes (at) recovering funds for merchants. And that’s what makes Justt so different.”
